SERVAS TREVELIN
Enrico and Maria-Laura are the kind of persons that like to have other people around. That's not always that easy in a small town such as Trevelin. Maybe that's why they decided to join the big Servas community. Maria-Laura works in a company that takes care for the Patagonian forests. And Enrico is the only gynaecologist in town. I guess most of the women here know doctor Dillon. We got to know them as Servas guests and were their first 'clients'.
Right from the start we felt at home. What a beautifull family: Silvina and Janina, their two lovely daughters both study at a university some 1500 km away (in Buenos Aires) and made the trip home for the christmas holidays. Dogs are dominant in this house: they rule the Dillon world. In a previous live Barny and Donners were two streetdogs, like most of the dogs in Latin America, and after being adopted by the Dillons they changed streets for soft coaches and linnen towels. They prefer to sit next to the asado in the Quincha. A Quincha is a house especially build to organise 'parilla's' for the family. You see, Enrico and Maria-Laura build their Quincha next to their house, in the garden, and now it turns out that the new barbecue building is bigger than the house where they live!
Ingrid and I slept in that building. During daytime we were spoiled with advise about the surroundings, and in the evening we enjoyed the pizza's and pasta's and wine.
Thank you, Enrico and Maria-Laura!
