JAMES EVANS & HIS FAMILY

Meet James. Living in Epping, a suburb of Sydney, for the past 27 years. We met him in hostal Secret Garden in Quito, Ecuador, in the first week of this trip. Traveled together for 3 weeks in Otavalo, Banos, Cotopaxi and the Chimborazo region. We cooked for him - he cooked for us. We learned him how to play Rummicub. He learned us how to play '500'. We saw him getting drunk, we saw him getting sober again.
And now, 6 and a half months later - James just came back home after having traveled for 7 months in Latin America and Europe - we're invited to stay at his parents place! Haleluja! Don't need to explain how much we like going down under. Welcome to Australia!

James' parents Peter and Donna are still very active. Peter is working at home as a freelance consultant. Hard to understand exactly what he's doing all day, but he sure as hell knows how to handle the Ebay stuff. From day one he put all of our camping gear on the auction site. We thought that might help to get rid of those things that keep on filling up the luggage trolleys. Sadly enough, no one seemed to be interested in tents or sleeping mats or cooking gear. Thanks for the effort, Peter!
Donna has been a nurse for as long as she can remember. She used to work in a big trauma center, but know she's working in the emergency department of a smaller Sydney hospital. Last weekend she was on night shift and they brought in a female passenger from the Queen Elisabeth II who killed herself. Love stories always can go wrong, even - I would dare to say especially - on expensive cruise ships.
Donna is the best in taking care for people and that's not only in hospitals. Thanks for the anti-spider hairspray Donna!
